My personal mission statement is informed by my world view. The latter is based on a belief system grounded in my faith in God, and lived out in my daily life. It is a credo that believes giving, and caring for others, is a true path to excellence in serving and providing for our business customers.
This principle inevitably leads to outstanding products, consistently higher customer satisfaction, and ultimately it also drives profit and growth.
Therefore, Gold Mark Business Science operates efficiently and seamlessly at the nexus of Christian principles and business expertise. This makes us different and it makes us effective.
Lorraine A. Stewart
BIOGRAPHY
Lorraine A. Stewart was born in Jamaica, West Indies and migrated to the United States in her early teens.
She was raised in the Bronx and graduated from Adlai Stevenson High School at the age of 16, in the top 1% of her class, and having attained a New York State Regents Scholarship.
She then attended Hunter College and completed an accelerated program, which combined both a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Science in Social Research, specializing in marketing research.
Choosing a career path dedicated to helping others, she subsequently founded and directed a successful early childhood program in the Bronx, for several years. It was during that period that Lorraine attained a permanent New York State Teaching Certificate.
She was subsequently accepted into the Ph.d program in Counseling Psychology at New York University, where she successfully completed 96 credits.
Lorraine then moved to Florida to join her father (whom she also cared for in the final months of his life) and worked as a therapist with foster children, youth involved in the juvenile justice system, and also emotionally disturbed children and their families.
She herself became a foster mother to severely emotionally disturbed children.
During her time in Florida, she also worked as an instructor at Broward Community College, helping seniors and to navigate the mental and emotional difficulties associated with aging.
